About Lighthouse Keepers

Our Mission

There is so much darkness and chaos in the world right now. It can feel daunting and difficult to navigate. Lighthouse Keepers mission is to share psychotherapeutic education, tools and resources to guide you on your healing journey. We intend to be the light needed in the darkness to help those who are stranded navigate safely back to shore.

Our Philosophy

Healing is possible. We have both lived through our own adversities and engaged in various healing modalities over the years to heal our own trauma and mental health issues. It is not an easy journey but with the right tools and support it becomes accessible. Life is filled with adversity and we can’t avoid it. We need to learn to navigate it effectively and once we face and overcome it, we walk with an embodied sense of strength and capacity that allows us to face future challenges. This life is about balancing the dark and the light and recognizing there is validity in both sides. You can’t have one without the other. We used our light, to navigate our darkness. We are here to show others how to do the same. There is a light within all of us, and we believe if we share our light, it will help you re-kindle yours, allowing you to do the same for someone else. And slowly, little by little, we will illuminate the world.

UNIQUENESS

I was born and raised in Mumbai, India, studied in the Middle East for a few years and then moved to Mississauga, Canada when I was16yo. Some of my ancestors were colonizers who descended upon India decades before I was born, and some of them were those who were colonized and enslaved. My ancestral lineage leaves a lot to be reconciled, which will be a lifelong process of healing, unlearning, un-indoctrination and re-alignment. It has allowed me a unique vantage point, that solidifies my belief that we are all one, coloured threads of various shades coming together to create this massive tapestry that we experience as life, every single thread vital to the final image. Moving to Canada and meeting settlers, immigrants and indigenous peoples over the years cemented this notion of oneness. At our core we are all just looking for safety, love and peace. My personal mission in this life is to use my power to facilitate that as best as I can.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

I graduated from the University of Toronto with a BA in Fine Art, English and Psychology, and continued my education at the Transformational Arts College of Spiritual and Holistic Training, where I studied Spiritual/Transpersonal Psychotherapy, Past-Life and Bardo State Regression certification. I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario since 2015 and an Associate member of EMDRIA, and a certified EMDR therapist.  I have completed trainings in EMDR psychotherapy and Structural Dissociation, Level 1 and 2 Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Relational Somatic Psychotherapy, Deep Brain Reorienting therapy Level 1, 2 and 3 and I am a Certified Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy. I have my Trauma Treatment Certification training with Janina Fischer (CCPT). I am also a certified Reiki master.  I have had a private practise since 2013 and continue to work with clients one on one virtually. In 2020, I published an adult colouring book, Conscious Colouring, intended to help clients deepen their self-awareness, while down-regulating their nervous systems. In 2022, I started working with Dimension Algonquin Highlands where we use cannabis assisted psychotherapy in a group retreat format to help our clients.
